Dear Friends,
It feels like there has been a lot going on in the world over these last couple of weeks. In amongst all the changes of life I pray you are doing well and managing to keep your eyes fixed on Christ.
There are a number of things I’d like to draw your attention to this week:
Firstly the Fellowship fund still has a significant amount of money in it. The money is for anyone who may be struggling financially during this difficult time. We cannot promise to solve all your financial problems but we can stand with you and give you a gift. We expect nothing in return, it is simply a part of being church family. If you know of anyone or if you yourself are in need please contact in confidence, either myself, Graham MacPherson or Jon Potterton and we will try and help out.
In the next couple of weeks we shall be phoning everyone in the directory to find out how you have managed to connect during lockdown and how we as a church can help you connect better with each other and with God.
LightUpPrettygate will be launched this week and we are still looking for volunteers to help deliver leaflets and to pray for altos who may encounter us over Christmas. Thanks to all those who have volunteered so far. Please contact Geoff if you’d like to help deliver leaflets.
Don’t forget Jo MacPherson is looking for people to volunteer to make stars for the advent prayer tree. Let her know if you or your family would like to make a weatherproof star.
Finally, Walk with the Rev is still available. If you’d like to walk with the Rev and have a chat about anything at all please contact me and we can arrange a date and time.
In his name.
With love,
Geoff.
