Dear Friends,
Welcome to our letter for the weekend of 18th April 2021. I make it 57 weeks in to the Covid situation and it feels like we are working our way through things.
How have you found things over this last year? On Sunday we are thinking about what it means to acknowledge God as Lord over time. Many people I have spoken to over the last twelve months have said they feel like things are out of control and that they simply just don’t know where the world is headed. It has been amazing to be able to share with them the gospel message that God is in control and he is bringing all things together.
Do join us on Sunday for our service as we think about the implications of following the Lord of History.
The elders met on Monday 12th and we have put together a tentative road map that sets out our plans to come back to the building to worship. We anticipate if all things go well to be able to have a small congregation on Sunday 16th May. Further details will follow.
I would like to draw your attention to the extra letter that has come out today asking each one of you to consider supporting the funding for the next three years of our youth worker. We are really blessed to have a good youth work here at Plume and if we want it to grow and thrive in the future we need to continue to fund it. Further details are in the accompa-nying letter.
Finally friends I would like to ask you to continue to pray for our elders. We are entering a time of transition and this really is a time when Plume church needs to pull together in unity to further the Kingdom of God. Maybe give one of them a ring to ask them how they are or drop them a text message to let them know you are praying for them. I know they will appreciate it.
