See I am doing a new thing Isaiah 43:1
As I sit to write this letter I cannot believe that yet another week has flown by. Last week we finished our Restore series – re-imagining leading the church out of lockdown. This week we begin a new series based on Isaiah 43: See I am doing a new thing! We are in a new and exciting season and we need to seek God’s vision for us as a church for now and where He would have us be as a church in 5 and 10 years time. We are calling the church to pray and seek God’s vision for us as individuals and as a church family. Please do put the weekend of 18th and 19th September in your diary. On Saturday 18th September we will gather together between 10 am and 4pm to pray, share a meal together and share thoughts and ideas. This will be a “drop in” day when you can come and go as suits you and stay for as long as you feel able. At lunchtime we would like to invite everyone to a fish and chips lunch, similar to the one we had during New Wine. More details about the lunch will be available later. On the Sunday we would like to gather together after the service to share a picnic in the church gardens – we would invite everyone, whether you attend the church service in person or engage with it on YouTube, to bring your picnic lunch and share some family time together.
Our Saturday morning prayer meetings restart this week at 9.30am. Our Wednesday and Saturday morning prayer gatherings on Zoom have been such a blessing and we will continue with these for the foreseeable future. Do join us if you can – whether you want to contribute verbally or in silence, we would love you to join us.
Many of our children and young people are preparing to return to schools, colleges and universities starting this week. Please do remember them in your prayers and also the teachers and support staff.
And finally, just a reminder that if you have a prayer request or a prayer of thanks you would like to share, please do contact the prayer circle team at email@example.com
Have a blessed weekend
