Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Mt 11:28

Hi All,

As we gather together on Sunday we will be looking at the theme “Restore – Recover”. This is the last week in our series of Restore – re-imagine leading the church out of lockdown. It has been so good to see so many people back in church and also to see Junior Church restarting. We really want to welcome everyone of all ages and if you have young children we hope that by setting up an area where they can play and read, children and their parents will feel welcome and at ease.

Church Weekend 18/19 September
We met as Elders on Monday evening. As we consider where God is leading us and what He would have us take up and lay down, we would like to call the church to a time of prayer and reflection. The survey we carried out earlier in the year is helping with the construction of the church profile. A survey though doesn’t give us scope to sit and pray, meditate, read and seek God’s voice for what His long term vision is for us as a church family. We would like to ask everyone, whatever age you are, to spend time seeking God’s leading for our future – where do we think God is leading us over the next 10 years?
At the end of this period we would like to gather everyone together for a church weekend at church. On Saturday 18th September we will gather together between 10 am and 4pm to pray, share a meal together and share thoughts and ideas. This will be a “drop in” day when you can come and go as suits you and stay for as long as you feel able. At lunchtime we would like to invite everyone to a fish and chips lunch, similar to the one we had during New Wine. More details about the lunch will be available later. On the Sunday we would like to gather together after the service to share a picnic in the church gardens – we would invite everyone, whether you attend the church service in person or engage with it on YouTube, to bring your picnic lunch and share some family time together.

Please do save these dates.

Tuesday Homegroup
The Tuesday evening bible study homegroup will be meeting this week.

Church telephone
We are aware that our church office phone is not monitored in a regular way. We have therefore purchased a church mobile which will enable calls to be made directly or diverted from the office phone. The number will be published on the website and on our church correspondence.

Please do refer to the “Who do I contact” list circulated a couple of weeks ago – although we have a church mobile this will primarily be for those who need to contact the church from external organisations or for details about services etc.

Hope you have a great weekend.
Love
