See I am doing a new thing Isaiah 43:1

Hi All,

Hope you have had a good week – I know for many households this week has seen a lot of changes as schools begin the new school year and some of our young people have begun returning to or starting at University.

Communion
This Sunday morning, 5 September, we will be sharing Holy Communion together towards the end of the service. We have put in place certain procedures to ensure that we prepare and serve Communion in a safe way without detracting from the true meaning of the sacrament. Elders will serve the bread using small tongs and will hand you a cup of wine as opposed to everyone taking a piece of bread and choosing a cup. It will be a great joy and privilege to share this meal together again as a family.

Prayer and Vision weekend
Just a reminder that this is 18/19 September. If you have not put the date in your diary yet, please do. We would love to encourage everyone, whatever your age, to be praying about the future of God’s church here at Plume Avenue as we seek his will both now and for the future in 5 and 10 years’ time. As gather over Saturday 18 September, we hope that everyone will feel able to drop in at some time and share what God has laid on their heart and to spend some time in prayer and conversation. We will issue the menus during the coming week for the Saturday fish and chips lunch. Please also join us on Sunday for a bring your own picnic after the service.
This really is a new season for us – whatever you feel God is laying on your heart to share please be encouraged to do so. It doesn’t matter how big or small you think it is or how way out and different it is – please share it so that we can pray further into it as a fellowship and discern the path going forward with the Lord.

Fellowship Fund
Just a reminder that we still have money in this fund for those who are particularly struggling. Please contact Jon, Marie or Rosemary if you or someone you know could benefit from this fund. To contact all three you simply need to e-mail: fellowshipfund@plumeavenuechurch.org.uk
Any e-mail sent to this address will only be seen by Jon, Marie and Rosemary.

Bookings
We are very grateful to Marie for taking on the bookings for the church. If you run an activity or want to book a room for a meeting, practice, worship, prayer time, please contact Marie at bookings@plumeavenuechurch.org.uk to ensure the space is available. It really is essential to ensure you have booked as space is quite limited and it is not possible to share rooms or use some of the smaller rooms currently.

Elders
Elders are meeting again on Monday evening. Thank you to everyone who continues to hold the church family and elders in their prayers.

Have a blessed weekend
Love
