But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love
Psalm 33:1

Hi All
There is much to share this week so here goes.
Advent and Christmas
Advent Prayer Guide – this will be available next Sunday and is based on the Jesse Tree.
Art for Advent display on the theme of “Light in the Darkness” – please do let us have your submissions by 26 November. Please do speak to me if you have any questions about this.
Advent Retreat Day at church on Saturday 4th December, 9.30 am to 4pm. A time for reflection, fellowship, worship and refreshment. Lunch will be “bring your own”. Tea, coffee, biscuits and cake will be provided. To book your place e-mail admin@plumeavenuechurch.org.uk or contact me by 26 November.
Nativity trail Sunday 5th December, 2.30 pm. Plans are going well for this. We need help to provide refreshments, please speak to Marie. We also need help to prepare the goody bags and help on the day, please speak to me about this. This is such an exciting opportunity to work with Prettygate Baptist Church in sharing the true meaning of Christmas with the community. The trail starts at Prettygate Baptist Church and finishes here at Plume Avenue.
Christingle service on Christmas Eve will be outside. Please speak to Rachael if you can help prepare the Christingle bags and if you have suggestions for this service or can help with the service please speak to me. If you can help with refreshments please speak to Marie.
Carols by Candlelight on 19th December. There is still time to for those who play orchestral instruments or sing to join us, please let me know.
Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
Thank you to everyone who brought boxes for this. The amazing amount of 77 boxes were brought to church. Thank to Pam Soames for her work in organising this again.
Christmas Giving
As you are aware we have been collecting Christmas items for the Foodbank – they have asked for these to be donated by 10th December. Please contact David if you need a list of items they need.
Social Services Gifts – Sheila has prepared a note on this which is attached to this letter. Our Gift Day for Social Services will be 5th December.
CAP Hampers – we circulated an e-mail about this during the week. Please let me know if you did not receive it or would like it again.
Church Meeting
Just a reminder that our church meeting is on 29th November, 7.30pm at church. The moderator will be joining us for the meeting. Please do try and come to this very important meeting in the life of Plume Avenue Church. If you are not able to come in person but would like to watch the meeting on Zoom please contact me for the link. Please though try to attend in person if possible.
Hope you have a blessed weekend.
Love
