Be still and know that I am God Psalm 46:10
Dear All
I hope you have had a good week. This Sunday’s service will include Communion.
Coronation Sunday
Thank you to everyone who helped set up, provide cakes and cheese straws, prepare and serve the teas, helped with the craft table, rock painting and games, provided the beautiful music, provided the tech support, cleared away and washed up, sat and chatted to our guests, welcomed our guests and put the church back together again. There were some wonderful comments from our guests. Folks these are the moments when seeds are sown and our hands and voices serve our Lord in very special ways.
Thank you again for an incredible team effort.
Baby Box
Our congratulations to Sarah and David on the birth of George Samuel. We pray many blessings on them as a family at this time. There is a baby box in the foyer for donations of gifts for young George.
40th Wedding Anniversary
Dave and Andrea Anderson are celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary this weekend. We thank God for this special couple and pray they will celebrate well and have many more happy years to come. Our sincere thanks to Dave and Andrea for all they do for our church family, so much never seen.

Church Membership
Some folk have asked about church membership. If you are not yet a member and would like to explore this, please do speak to me or Dave or Marie.
Coffee and Cake
As from 5th June we will “rebrand” our Monday gathering to be “Coffee and Cake” and will meet from 9.30 am – 12 noon. We have some folk who are able to help with serving the coffee and provide cakes. If you would be able to help with this on an occasional or regular basis
please let me know as soon as you can so that we can put a rota together. We would like to continue to gather on a Monday morning as many have found this a wonderful opportunity to meet together and it has also provided support to Esther and the toddler group with serving coffee.
Thy Kingdom Come
As a church family we will be using the Thy Kingdom Come resources from 18th May (Ascension Day) – 28th May (Pentecost). The resources consist of a Thy Kingdom Come Novena for focusing on verses from John’s First Letter. There is also a prayer journal for use each day.
At the heart of Thy Kingdom Come is the focus to ‘Pray for five’. It is an invitation to bring five people before God – friends, family, neighbours or colleagues who are not yet following the Lord Jesus. It is an encouragement to pray that the Holy Spirit will open their hearts and minds to God’s love, forgiveness, and peace.
There are also some sheets for the children and young people.
I am hopeful the resources will have arrived by Sunday as I ordered them some time ago.
Church Meeting
Following the announcement made a couple of weeks ago, just a reminder that there will be a church meeting after the service next Sunday(21st May) to vote on the proposal to form a partnership with Tiptree URC. The vote will be way of secret ballot and will require an 80% majority to go through. If you have any questions please do speak to me, Dave or Marie.
Christian Aid Week
This week is Christian Aid week. In the past we have collected door to door around the neighbourhood and in church. If you would like to give to a donation to Christian Aid this week you can do so either:

With love and blessings.
