For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
Dear All,
Andrew’s induction service
Andrew’s induction service takes place on Saturday, 15th February at 2m. We would like to ask everyone to be in the seats by 1.45pm so that we don’t have any last minute panics to find seats for folk.
Unfortunately the school are no longer able to help us provide space for car parking. This could cause quite a lot of congestion on the local roads as we have over 160 people attending the service. We would be very grateful if our own church family could drop people off and go and park somewhere away from the church. We would really like to be able to provide car spaces for those with blue badges, who have mobility issues and those who are having to travel significant distances to join us.
With regard to the catering, Andrea and Kate would really appreciate some offers of help to prepare the food and also to clear away afterwards. We will also need some folk to hand out the afternoon tea and serve the drinks. If you can help please do speak to Andrea or Kate.
This promises to be a really exciting day in the life of Plume Avenue Church and of course for Andrew, Candid and Tavonga. Please do pray for the day and the preparations.
Andrew’s working week
Andrew will be with us at Plume Avenue on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. Andrew will be based here at Plume Avenue on a Monday and Thursday. His day off is a Tuesday and we would like to urge everyone to respect this and not contact Andrew on Tuesdays unless you have a serious pastoral emergency. It would be helpful too not to send e-mails to him on a Tuesday.
Galley Kitchen
The Galley Kitchen is regularly used by many folk. Please can you ensure that you wash up and put things away before leaving the building There has been a buildup of cups and crockery left draining or dirty in the bowl which isn’t fair on other users. Also, please ensure that mugs etc are washed up properly as recently lipstick and coffee marks have been found around the rims.
Supplies
Just a reminder that we are a Fairtrade church and therefore ALL tea, coffee, chocolate, sugar etc should have the Fairtrade logo on it. There are some jars of coffee in the cupboards which are clearly not Fairtrade.
Prayer before the morning services
We are aiming to gather together to pray at 9.45 am each Sunday with those who are leading and taking part in the service, Please do feel free to join everyone to pray in the music area.
