For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
Dear All,
Andrew’s induction service
So this is the weekend we have been waiting for for so long! Please do pray for Andrew as he is inducted to be our minister here at Plume Avenue and Tiptree URC. Please do pray also for Candid and Tavonga.
The service starts at 2pm but we would like to ask everyone to be in their seats by 1.45pm so that we don’t have any last minute panics to find seats for folk.
Parking is available at the school from 1pm. The church car park will be available for those with blue badges, who have mobility issues and those who are having to travel significant distances to join us.
Andrew’s working week
Andrew will be with us at Plume Avenue on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. Andrew will be based here at Plume Avenue on a Monday and Thursday. His day off is a Tuesday and we would like to urge everyone to respect this and not contact Andrew on Tuesdays unless you have a serious pastoral emergency. It would be helpful too not to send e-mails to him on a Tuesday.
Bible journaling
February’s Bible journaling will take place on Saturday 1st March, as there aren’t enough Saturdays in February! 10am-12pm. Coffee and cake provided, plus friendly relaxed chat, whilst spending time in God’s Word, what could be better?! Do come along even if you’ve never been before, speak to Jo for more details. No experience/skills/equipment required, we’d love to see you!
Thank you
David and I would really like to thank everyone for the beautiful card, flowers, chocolates and vouchers given to us last week. We were totally taken by surprise and really appreciate the gifts and messages in the card. It has been and is a privilege to serve the Lord in our church and we look forward to the exciting days ahead under Andrew’s ministerial leadership.
Safeguarding
Matthew Lewis is standing down as our lead safeguarding coordinator with immediate effect. We thank Matthew sincerely for all he has done in this role. For the time being, Dave Anderson will be taking on this role. If you have a safeguarding issue or concern please contact Dave Anderson or Maz Rattray.
