For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
Dear All
Andrew’s induction service
Andrew’s induction service takes place on Saturday 15th February and he will lead his first service with us on 16th February. There is a signup sheet in the foyer for those who would like to attend the service and the tea afterwards – please sign up this Sunday at the latest. The list will be taken down after the service. If you have dietary requirements please make this clear on the sign up sheet (eg if you sign up for a family of 6 but only one needs dairy free food please ensure that this is clear so that the catering team don’t think there are 6 dairy free food teas required).
We have arranged for car parking at Prettygate School. We would ask everyone to park there unless you have a blue badge or mobility issue. Our own car parks will be for those who have blue badges and mobility issues. It will be possible to drop off at the church and then the driver goes on to park at the school.
Housekeeping bits and pieces:
Church Heating
Dave Anderson has set up the boilers and thermostats so that everyone using the building can do so in a comfortable way. It has become apparent that these settings are being changed and thermostats on radiators are being altered which means that there have been a number of occasions when people have arrived to use the building and it is very cold. Please can we ask everyone not to alter the boiler settings or thermostats! If the heating is not appropriate for your use, please speak to Dave so that he can amend it and/or show you how to enable the boost function to be used.
Galley Kitchen
The Galley Kitchen is regularly used by many folk. Please can you ensure that you wash up and put things away before leaving the building. There has been a buildup of cups and crockery left draining or dirty in the bowl which isn’t fair on other users. Also, please ensure that mugs etc are washed up properly as recently lipstick and coffee marks have been found around the rims.
Supplies
Just a reminder that we are a Fairtrade church and therefore ALL tea, coffee, chocolate, sugar etc should have the fair-trade logo on it. There are some jars of coffee in the cupboards which are clearly not fair-trade.
Prayer before the morning services
We are aiming to gather together to pray at 9.45 am each Sunday with those who are leading and taking part in the service, Please do feel free to join everyone to pray in the music area.
