May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
Hope you are being blessed through using your Advent Prayer Guide. If you haven’t picked yours up yet, please do so on Sunday.
Gifts for Social Service Young Adults
Sheila is organizing this for us again this year and writes “We are making December 11th our day to bring gifts which we forward to Social Services for young adults who have just left full time care and are now living in independent accommodation. These young people are struggling even more this year as the economic situation takes its toll on their lives.
Gifts of toiletries, sweets, chocolates, biscuits or small gifts you feel would be appreciated will be gratefully received by these vulnerable youngsters. Please leave the gifts unwrapped so that they can be distributed to the appropriate person – sheets of wrapping paper added to your gifts would be most helpful.
Let us prayerfully hold these young people up. May they feel the love that is sent with these gifts and know that others care.”
Warm Welcome Hub
The Warm Welcome Hub starts tomorrow, 5th December and has been advertised around the community.
If you are able to help please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with your available dates as soon as possible.
Please do pray for this initiative and do come along any time between 9am and 3pm. This is a really exciting opportunity to come alongside the residents of the Prettygate community and has wonderful mission opportunities. Please do prayerfully consider giving some time to this if you can. The more volunteers we get the less pressure there will be on a small group of people.
Just a reminder that Jean’s funeral is in church on Tuesday 6th December at 12.30pm. There will be refreshments after the service and the family will return to the church after the committal at the Crematorium. Please do pray for Jean’s family as they prepare for this day and for safety in travel.
Ladies Retreat Day
This is next Saturday, 10th December! Please do pray for this special day, for safety in travel, good fellowship and food and blessed times with the Lord. Please do pray for Charity Quin as she leads the day and Paul and Lucy Willer who are helping so much to make the day special.

There are piles of cards sorted by streets, which need delivering early this week. Please do take a pile and deliver these if you can. You may like to turn this into a prayer walk and pray for each house as you post the cards through the door.
There will be a prayer meeting Wednesday morning at 9.30 am on Zoom but there will be no prayer meeting on Saturday morning (10th December). The Zoom details for Wednesday will be sent out early in the week.
With love and blessings.
