Dear Friends,
Christmas is drawing nearer and we’ve been journeying through advent thinking about the God who draws near. I wonder how you have encountered God in advent this year? Maybe it was though a conversation, through a bible reading, through a song you found yourself singing. It’s great to know that in the darkness of these current days Jesus Christ, the light of the world shines brightly and will never be extinguished.
This is the final letter before Christmas so I would like to wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas. Despite the difficulties of the year we can still celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, albeit in our own homes this year.
The notices for this week are as follows ….
Please note there will be no morning services on Sunday 20th or Sunday 27th. Instead we will join together on 20th at 6.30pm for our Carol Service. Please do invite friends and family to come along.
We would also like to encourage you to join us on Christmas Day at 10am for our Christmas Communion. Please bring your own bread and wine. This will be a time for all the family when we remember with joy that Jesus’ life went beyond the manger.
If you live in Prettygate please take part in #LightUpPrettygate by sending a photo of your home/doorway/drive to lightupprettygate@gmail.com you can then receive a Christmas goody bag containing lots of fun things to help you celebrate Christmas.
