Minister’s Letter 17/01/2021
January 17, 2021 by Liz Bird

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation,
– Col 1:15

Dear Church,
This Sunday I am delighted that Lisa Swabey will be joining us from Minnesota. Lisa is married to James and she will be sharing a little of what God has been doing in her and James’ life recently. Do make a note of logging in and hearing their news.
Sunday mornings have been a real blessing to so many people during lockdown and God has been at work in many people’s lives. Can I urge you to prioritise logging on and going with the rest of your church family as we meet to worship God and hear from his word.
I have a number of items to share with you.
There are still places available on the Marriage Course that Sarah and I shall be running online. This is for anyone who wants to deepen their marriage and build strong foundations. We shall be using the HTB course that is produced by the same team that have produced Alpha. Please do contact me if you would like further details. They promise to be great evenings of fun, learning and support.
Our prayer meetings are changing slightly during January. We are moving to Zoom and they will be twice a week. The idea is that prayer will be for half an hour and that will be followed by tea and coffee for half an hour afterwards. We shall continue to meet on a Wednesday morning at 9.30am and the second one will be on Saturday morning at 9.30am. Zoom details will follow.
The Tuesday night home group has now gone to a weekly format. All are welcome and the Zoom details are emailed out each week.
Finally, can I please reiterate my call from last week to continue to look after one another? At the start of Covid we asked each person in the directory to pray for and talk to the per-son below them in the directory. This is a fresh call to continue with this important ministry. You may feel good and fine but the person below you in the directory may be feeling lonely and isolated or just in need of a conversation.
May God bless you this week and may you know his presence in your life.

Geoff Felton.
