For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness.
– Col 2:9
Dear Church,
I hope this letter finds you well and safe.
Many people are now having the vaccination and despite the awful figures from this week it feels like we are on the way to getting through the dreadful situation we have found ourselves in. I would urge you to continue to be careful and to follow Government guidelines on staying safe.
Can I thank everyone who took part in the connection survey for the church. The elders have looked at the results and hope to provide a report in the next couple of weeks that we will circulate more generally.
A few notices for the weeks ahead.
On Monday night at 6.30pm is the Funday Monday event. A time of fun for our Junior Church. Please contact either Rachael or Amy for further details.
On Tuesday 2nd Feb International Justice Mission are hosting an evening of prayer for their work. Sarah Felton has further details or see the information on our Facebook page.
I’d like to draw your attention to two meetings we have in early February led by James Swabey called Hearing God’s Voice in A Global Pandemic. The sessions take place on Wednesday 3rd and Wednesday 10th Feb. As well as being highly practical workshops James will provide teaching on how to hear and act on hearing God’s voice. Both meetings will happen on Zoom. Details will be circulated nearer the time.
The Prayer meetings on Saturday and Wednesday at 9.30am continue to flourish and they have become an important time of prayer and fellowship. Do pop along. They are both on Zoom and de-tails are released each week.
The Tuesday night home group has now gone to a weekly format. All are welcome and the Zoom details are emailed out each week.
Finally, please continue to connect with each other. I realise times are difficult, tiring and it’s quite easy to disconnect during these days. We are though, called by Christ to love one another and that phone call may be just what is needed by the person you contact to lift their spirits and brighten their day.
May God Bless you this week and may you know his presence in your life.
Geoff Felton.
