Dear Church,
The last week has, I would say been a week of encouragement.
We met for church meeting on Monday and heard of the new members coming to join Plume. There are ten in all and we give thanks to God for each one of them. Please do pray for them and support them as they settle in to life at Plume.
We also elected Marie Forsyth as an elder. Marie has a big heart and recognises that she needs God’s power and wisdom to help her in her new role on the eldership. Please pray for her.
We also heard encouraging stories of people coming to faith, people blessed by the tithe fund a thriving youth work. God has been at work during the pandemic and we give thanks that despite the difficulties many of us have faced over these last few months God has been working in so many peoples lives.
There was also news about the future and how we as a church aim to gather together for the New Wine celebration this year at the end of July. Do keep your eye out for further news on that.
Going forward we continue to listen to Government advice and are not yet able to open fully but we invite you to come along to church by booking in. It is a quieter time in the building at the moment and is suitable for those who wish to reflect quietly on what God may be saying.
If you’d like to join us for a service please do drop an email to
services@plumeavenuechurch.org.uk
Home groups continue throughout the week as do the two prayer meetings that are on Zoom.
Can I continue to encourage you to pray for your friends, family and neighbours that they would come to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour and would discover the joy of new life.
Have a good week.
God Bless you and keep you.
With much love,
Geoff Felton.
