May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
-1Thess 5:23-24
Dear Friends,
I have spoken to number of you this week about how you are finding the journey back to normality and each of each person has different thoughts and different ideas as to how the world may be when we return to normal.
I wonder what your hopes are? I want to encourage you this week to hold on to those hopes and bring them to God in prayer. You never know he may be asking you to be the answer to the prayers you pray.
This week on Sunday morning we will be reflecting on what is our purpose as Church and exploring what the New Testament has to say about being Church. Do join us and invite friends and family along to our online gathering.
On Sunday 16th May we hope to open the building for our first church gathering in over a year. The service will be streamed live but we want to give people the opportunity gather if they so wish to. Priority will be given to but not exclusively limited to those who cannot access the service online. If you wish to book in to any of the first three services please send an email to services@plumeav-enuechurch.org.uk – please provide your name and contact telephone number and the service you are requesting to attend, either 16th May, 23rd May or 30th May.
In order to open up and serve one another we will need a small number of helpers to act as
stewards. If you could volunteer that would be most helpful. Please contact admin@plumeavenuechurch.org.uk to offer your help.
Details of what the services will look like are attached in the additional document.
Finally, a big thank you to everyone who came along to the evening with Daniel Gitau last Tuesday. It was really encouraging other of the work that is going on in Kenya in the face of Covid and the restrictions.
Daniel and his supporters are trying to raise funds for a new car for the ministry as the old one is now spending most of it’s time in the garage being repaired. A car is absolutely vital for the continuation of the ministry so that people and goods can be transported around the area. Here at Plume we would like to contribute to the car fund and if you feel you can contribute in any way, large or small please do send your gift to our treasurer Paul Hampshire and label it ‘Car Fund’.
I hope you have a good week and that you see God at work in your lives.
With much love,
Geoff Felton.
