Liz’s Letter 18/12/2022
by Liz Bird
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
Dear All
Hope you have been able to keep warm this week.
This Sunday we have a Family Service in the morning which Joe is taking and then we have our Carols by Candlelight in the evening at 6.30 pm.
Warm Welcome Hub
The Warm Welcome Hub will be open tomorrow on 19th December. We will then take a break for Christmas and the New Year and will re-open on 16th January. If you are able to help please e-mail warmhub@plumeavenuechurch.org.uk with your available dates as soon as possible. Please do pray for this initiative and do come along any time between 9am and 3pm.
Liz McBurney
It is with sadness that we share with you that Liz passed away on Thursday. Another very faithful lady gone to be with her Lord. Please do pray for Liz’s family at this time.
Advent and Christmas
Carols by Candlelight, 18th December
This takes place at 6.30 pm on Sunday evening. Do come along and bring your family and friends with you. Mince pies and drinks will be served after the service.
Christingle Christmas Eve
This takes place on Christmas Eve at 4.30 pm. We hope to be outside like last year but if it is looking like it will be too cold or wet we will move inside.
Prep of christingles – if you are able to help prepare the christingle bags on Christmas Eve at 10am at church, please speak to Rachael.
Christmas Day
We will gather together at 10 am for our Christmas Day Family Celebration – do bring all your family for this special service, and don’t forget to bring a present you’ve had to show us.
Christmas Cards
There are still some cards needing to be delivered. Thank you to everyone who has already braved the cold to deliver a good number.
This week
There will be a prayer meeting on Wednesday morning at 9.30 am but not on Saturday. The Zoom details for the prayer meeting will be sent out early in the week.
With love and blessings.
