Be still, and know that I am God Psalm 46:10
Dear All
Hope you have had a good week. I have to say we have had an amazing week in the Peak District surrounded by beautiful scenery and warmth from the sun. It has been such a reminder at the awesomeness of God’s creativity.
Wedding
Next Saturday, 20th August, George and Hope will be getting married at church. Please do remember them in your prayers as they prepare for their special day.
Service Refreshments
We are in need of some more helpers to serve the tea and coffee for our services. We urgently need someone to help next Sunday (21st) and also two people for the 28th. If you can help please speak to Jo Barnard-Edwards or me. Equally if you are able to offer to help for future services please do speak to Jo.
Afternoon Tea
On Tuesday 16th August we will be having a time to share afternoon tea (cake, scones and drinks). If you would like to come, please sign up in the foyer on Sunday at the latest so that we know how much food we will need.
Sunday evenings in September
Just a reminder that starting 4th September we will be sharing the Jon Tyson teaching sessions on Sunday evenings at 7pm. The sessions last about ½ hour and are quite incredible. Do put the dates and times in your diary for 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th September at 7pm.
Paraclesis
The Paraclesis series will start on 4th September, Rev David Sebley will be taking our service that morning which will also include Communion. After the service we invite everyone to bring a picnic lunch together. The Paraclesis books will be available on 21st August.
There will be the normal Zoom prayer meetings on Wednesday and Saturday this week, both at 9.30pm. We return to being open at church on Saturday morning for Foodbank donations on Saturday 20th August.
Hope you have a good weekend and week. Stay safe in the hot weather.
With love and blessings.
