But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Psalm 5:11

Hi All
What an amazing weekend it was last week. It was so good to gather together for the Advent Retreat Day on Saturday. The Nativity trail went really well too and we had 45 teams pacing the streets of Prettygate looking for clues about the real meaning of Christmas. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the weekend and especially those who helped.

Covid Restrictions
Following the recent government announcements, face coverings are again mandatory in the church buildings. Children under the age of 3 and those who are medically exempt do not have to wear face coverings. The guidance does not make it compulsory for children under the age of 11 (but over the age of 3) to wear a face covering in a church setting although for some children’s work it is compulsory (e.g. Girls’ Brigade).

Advent and Christmas
Christingle service will be on Christmas Eve. Please speak to Rachael if you can help prepare the Christingle bags. If you have suggestions for or can help with this service please speak to me. If you can help with refreshments please speak to Marie.
We are asking people to book for this on Eventbrite:
https://plumeccg.eventbrite.co.uk

Carols by Candlelight will be on 19th December at 6.30pm (there will be no morning service).
We are asking people to book for this at https://plumecbc.eventbrite.co.uk

Christmas Day – we will have a family service at 10am (there will be no service on Boxing Day). Please do bring your presents to show!

Christmas Giving
Thank you to everyone who has given gifts for Social Services and items for Christmas for the Foodbank. There have been so many generous donations – thank you!
We will continue to collect for the Foodbank on Saturday mornings from 10-11am and of course you can always bring your donations to church on Sunday mornings and place in or near the Foodbank crate in the porch.
Elders
The elders will be meeting on Monday 20th December with David Sebley – please do pray for them as they prepare for this meeting.
Hope you have a blessed weekend.
Love
