God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. John 4:24

Dear All,
Next Saturday, 17 May, the leadership team will be going to Assington Hall for an awayday with Andrew and the Tiptree elders. Rev Alex Jacob will be helping to lead the day. Please pray for the day
Please do also remember to pray for our children and young people and their families. We are now in SATS, GCSE, BTEC and A level season for many of them.

Songs and Hymns
This is just a reminder that the deadline for submitting your song and hymn survey is this Sunday, A reminder e-mail was sent out on Friday afternoon with the link. If you do not have access to a computer, there are paper copies on the table in the porch. Please return these to David Bird.

Holiday Club
Our Holiday Club for primary school children (including those about to start school in September, to those who are currently in year 6) will be on four consecutive Monday mornings 28th July, 4th August, 11th August and 18th August. We will be using pre-planned material called “The Adventure Cruise”, cruising along 4 different C’s including change, choice, call and courage and how we can get “on board” with Jesus.
There are plenty of opportunities to serve including cafe, cakes, small groups, props, craft, games, tech sound/words. I would be really grateful if you could let me know, if you may be able to help in any way for one or more of the sessions. A DBS check for Plume Avenue Church will be required for those helping at Holiday Club, but can be arranged if necessary. Your continued prayers for the planning and the children and their families who will be attending would also be much appreciated. Thank you, Rachael.

Bible Journaling
The next journaling session will take place on Saturday, 31st May, 10am-12noon. Coffee and cake provided, plus friendly relaxed chat, whilst spending time in God’s Word, what could be better?! Do come along even if you’ve never been before, speak to Jo for more details. No experience/skills/equipment required, we’d love to see you!

Orchard Women’s Conference 18th October
A number of us are beginning to book for the above conference which this year takes place at Holy Trinity Brompton Church, London. The start time is 10.30 am and the finish time is 7.30 pm. If you would like to go please do book on their website www.theorchardwomen.com/london A few of us went last year and it was a very special day full of worship, good teaching and spending time together. If you would like to know more about the day, please do speak to Jo or myself. When we know how many are coming we will look at how we travel.

London Day out – 18th October
We are considering hiring a coach to London for the Orchard Women’s conference. We need to fill the coach to cover the costs – if you would like a day out in London and would like to book a seat or seats for your family please e-mail admin@plumeavenuechurch.org.uk or speak to me. The costs will be £30. The coach will drop everyone close to the museums and there will also be time for those who would like to book a matinee for a show in London as the coach will leave at about 7.45pm. Please let us know by 15 May if you would like to come so that we make a decision on whether the coach is feasible or not. Thank you.

Prayer before the morning services
We are aiming to gather together to pray at 9.45 am each Sunday with those who are leading and taking part in the service. Please do feel free to join everyone to pray in the music area.
