Minister’s Letter 14/02/2021

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. – Col 3:17

Hello everyone,
I hope you have managed to stay safe this week and you have managed to emerge for the frozen conditions outside.
This week we continue our series on Colossians and will be looking at chapter 3 and verses 12-17. The passage has some great instruction form the apostle Paul for the church that rings so true for the church today. Why not sit down this weekend and read through in one sitting the letter to the Colossians?
Lent starts this week and I have added some resources for you to explore during this season in the run up to Easter. I do think this Lent is going to be extra special because I think we are all looking forward to Easter because it is a season of hope and life. As a church we are choosing not to follow any one resource this year but you may want to get together with a few friends and read a book, follow a teaching series or use one of the attached resources to help you prepare for the Easter Season.
On Friday night we have the return of the quiz night. Please do come along and join in. Maybe invite your friends and family to come? It really is great fun and it breaks the monotony of the day.
Finally, some of you may remember Scott and Elaine Morrison. They moved to France last year and their son James moved with them. He is however moving back to the UK while he waits to hear from the RAF about his application to join up with them, James is looking for some temporary accommodation while he waits to hear his results. Elaine wondered if there was anyone who may be able to provide him with some accommodation for a few weeks. He is willing to pay towards his keep and will be willing to help out around the house. If you can help out please contact Elaine and Scott either on Facebook Messenger or email them at quirkyelaine@gmail.com
Have a wonderful week.
Bless you,

Geoff Felton.
