Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Dear All
I do hope you are doing ok.

Harvest
This Sunday is our Harvest thanksgiving service. This will be a family Café Church service and our gifts will go to the Colchester Foodbank – a list of needs is on the reverse of this letter or if you would prefer to give a financial donation please place this in an envelope marked “Foodbank” in the tithe box, pay through the bank into the church account marking the donation “Foodbank” or use the Sum-up machine for contactless payment.
We will be sharing in our Harvest Lunch for all those who have signed up – if you haven’t signed up but would like to stop for lunch please speak to Andrea or me as we may have enough food to extend a welcome to a few extras.

Sunday evenings
We will be sharing the final session of the Jon Tyson series this evening at 7pm. Please do join us if you can.

Church Meeting
There is a church meeting on Monday 26th September at 7.30pm in church. Everyone is welcome.
We will be sharing news of the progress with the vacancy and bringing the names of those considering church membership. We will also be discussing the possibility of helping our community (both from church and our neighbours) during the fuel crisis and also discussing how we lay the church out for our Sunday services. We will also have our usual updates from the various areas of church life. Everyone is welcome – you don’t have to be a member to come but you do need to be a member to vote.

Men’s Chat and Chill
The men’s chat and chill group is resuming on Monday September 26th, 1.30 pm at the church. They will be talking over what has been happening over the summer break.

Lunch in aid of Macmillan and St Helena Hospice
Andrea writes: “A date for your diary – Friday 30th September. You are welcome to a Ploughman’s lunch at our home, 6 Prettygate Road at 12.30. There will also be a table top sale, all proceeds will be divided between National Macmillan and St Helena Hospice. It would be helpful to have some idea of numbers. Look forward to seeing you support these worthwhile causes.”

There will be the normal Zoom prayer meetings on Wednesday and Saturday this week, both at 9.30am.

With love and blessings.
