God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. John 4:24
Dear All,
Church Membership
We are running the Exploring Church Membership course on Saturday 7th June from 10 am to 12 noon for all those who would like to know more about church membership. Please do let me know if you would like to come or e-mail admin@plumeavenuechurch.org.uk
Thy Kingdom Come
This year’s Thy Kingdom Come initiative starts on Wednesday 29th May. If you do not have your prayer journal and Noverna books and would like a set (or would like an additional set for your home) there are spares at church. There are also resources for the children and youth.
Holiday Club
Our Holiday Club for primary school children (including those about to start school in September, to those who are currently in year 6) will be on four consecutive Monday mornings 28th July, 4th August, 11th August and 18th August. We will be using pre-planned material called “The Adventure Cruise”, cruising along 4 different C’s including change, choice, call and courage and how we can get “on board” with Jesus.
There are plenty of opportunities to serve including cafe, cakes, small groups, props, craft, games, tech sound/words. I would be really grateful if you could let me know, if you may be able to help in any way for one or more of the sessions. A DBS check for Plume Avenue Church will be required for those helping at Holiday Club, but can be arranged if necessary. Your continued prayers for the planning and the children and their families who will be attending would also be much appreciated.
Thank you, Rachael.
Bible Journaling
The next journaling session will take place on next Saturday, 31st May, 10am-12noon. Coffee and cake provided, plus friendly relaxed chat, whilst spending time in God’s Word, what could be better?! Do come along even if you’ve never been before, speak to Jo for more details. No experience/skills/equipment required, we’d love to see you!
Orchard Women’s Conference 18th October
Just a reminder that a number of us have booked for the above conference which this year takes place at Holy Trinity Brompton Church, London. The start time is 10.30 am and the finish time is 7.30 pm. If you would like to go please do book on their website www.theorchardwomen.com/london If you could let Jo or I know that you have booked we can include you in the travel numbers.
Milk
We have come to realise that not everyone can use dairy milk. If you need an alternative to dairy milk, please e-mail the admin e-mail address and let us know which milk you need. Sandie has offered to order the relevant products so we need to coordinate who needs what.
Prayer before the morning services
We are aiming to gather together to pray at 9.45 am each Sunday with those who are leading and taking part in the service. Please do feel free to join everyone to pray in the music area.
This week
There will be prayer meetings on Wednesday morning and Saturday morning at 9.30 am. Zoom details for these will be e-mailed early in the week. Our usual weekly activities are taking a break this week for half term.
With love and blessings
