Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Dear All,

Baby Box
As many of you may know, Hope and George have recently welcomed beautiful baby twins Ash & Ezra into the world! We would love, as a church family, to bless and support them during this joyful and busy season. We are putting together a collection of helpful baby essentials and would be grateful for any contributions. Some particularly useful items include:
• Size 1 & 2 nappies
• ALDI Mamia baby formula stage 1 (blue)
• Cotton wool balls/pads
• Water Baby wipes
• Nappy sacks
• Baby toys/teethers
If you’re unable to get to the shops, but would still like to contribute, a small monetary donation would also be greatly appreciated, and we can use it to purchase additional essentials for the baby box! The box will be kept in the church foyer over the next three weeks, where items can be dropped off at any time. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Sarah x

Walking Group
Having had some positive feedback regarding a walking group, Candid and David propose that the first walk takes place on Sunday 7 June, starting from (and finishing at) the church, leaving at 3 pm. There may be a cup of tea and cake on our return.
This does not commit us to always walking on a Sunday afternoon, or to always starting from the church, but does provide a simple option for the first excursion.Candid and David

Bible Journaling
Our next journaling session is on Saturday 30 May, 10 am – 12 noon. Refreshments will be available. Resources are available for those who want to explore bible journaling – you don’t have to be a brilliant artist or scribe! Please do speak to Jo for more details.

Church Camping
Andrea writes: “I’m sure you know we are a family who love camping! Several people have asked me to organise a Church camp, we have done several in the past. My plan is Friday 10th July for those that wish to camp for the night. On Saturday people can come for either a picnic or fish and chip lunch and the afternoon. If you are interested please let me know and I can try and find somewhere suitable hopefully less than an hour’s drive. Thank you” Andrea

Summer Mondays
We are planning to open for Summer Mondays on 27th July, 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th August at church from 9.30 am to 12 noon.
We need help with refreshments, crafts, board games, toddler area and welcomers/chatterers
Please sign up in the foyer if you can offer to help.

Church Banner Group
We are restarting the church banner group so that we can make some new banners for the church.
If you are interested in needlecrafts and being creative, please speak to Liz so that we can arrange a date for us all together to make a start.

Dates for your diary
We have a few dates to share with you.
31st May – Daniel Gitau will be with us for our morning service.
14th June – Our next worship evening starting at 6.30 pm.
21st June – Rev Lythan Nevard, the Synod Moderator will be taking our morning service.

New Wine
New Wine takes place from Tuesday 28th July to Sunday 2nd August. We will be streaming the celebration sessions in church in the mornings and evenings. Some suggestions have been made to create a “festival” around New Wine at church so that we can gather socially as well as engaging with the celebrations. If you have any ideas for this please do speak to me so that we can put a team together to carry this forward.

Men’s Group
Dates for Chat & Chill and Homegroup are as follows
Chat & Chill            Homegroup
June 1st & 29th         15th
July –                           13th
Also, a reminder to all the men of the church, there is a BBQ at the Manse on 20th June starting at 4pm. This will be a very informal time and feel free to bring whatever you would like to drink, alcohol is fine but please be respectful as we are in Andrew’s home and garden. Also, be aware if you are driving. It will be good to catch up with each other over some food.
We will supply the burgers, sausages and rolls and ask that if you have any dietary needs then please bring your own food and we will cook it. Please contact Peter for more details.

This week
There will be a prayer meeting on Wednesday morning at 9.30 am on Zoom. Zoom details will be e-mailed early in the week.

With love and blessings,
