The LORD is my strength and my defence, he has become my salvation. You are my God, and I will praise you; you are my God, and I will exalt you. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 118:14, 28-29
Dear All
Well what a week it was last week! So much to give thanks for, especially to see so many of the church family gathered together on Easter Sunday morning to celebrate together our Risen Lord! A number of folk have commented how it felt like a new beginning for the church! As well as a great time of being together in the service, there were nearly 40 families engaging with the Easter Egg Hunt Trail in the afternoon.
Thank you again to everyone who got involved to make our Holy Week and Easter activities and services so special.
Men’s Chat and Chill
Peter and Adrian write: It has been a difficult couple of years hasn’t it! Some of us have had Covid, some have lost family and close friends without being able to say goodbye properly. For many it’s been a time of isolation. As we are seeing more and more restrictions on our lives being lifted, it would be good to start something to help us guys get back into socialising again. To this end we want to start a fellowship group on a Monday afternoon at Plume on April 25th from 13.30 – 16.00, initially this will run once a month. Here we will be able to provide a safe area to meet up and chat over tea/coffee and cakes, read magazines, perhaps play board games (chess, draughts, and dominos), darts in other words just come along to “Chat and Chill”. Future ideas are for days out, walks, breakfasts … There will be no lists of things to do and no agenda’s, just time to chill out together.
Sunday May 1st Service and Picnic Lunch
Next Sunday, Nigel and Heidi Moat will be joining us. Nigel will be leading our service, including Communion. We invite everyone to bring a picnic lunch to church so that we can have some time together after the service and catch up with Nigel and Heidi and each other. We will provide drinks. Hopefully we will be able to do this outside as the weather looks like it will be nice so if you can please do bring a garden chair or rug to sit on.
