I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121
Hi All
So here we are at the beginning of a new chapter for our church family. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard last weekend to make the day special for Geoff, Sarah and the family. It was so good to see so many people in church – please do be encouraged to join us on Sunday mornings in the building.
Covid regulations
Following the government announcements, the Elders have reviewed our risk assessment and Dave Anderson will make a statement on Sunday morning as to what procedures will be in effect for the church from Monday 19 July. We will circulate these on Sunday afternoon together with the paper we received from the Moderators meeting advising us how to proceed. We know that restrictions are lifting as from Monday but are also very aware of how the case numbers of Covid are increasing and with all this in mind we want to assure the church family that we are looking to keep everyone as safe as possible whilst allowing us to meet up together.
New Wine Breaks out
Attached with this week’s e-mail will be a news sheet containing the details of New Wine. We are really excited about this and grateful to our tech team who have agreed to provide the necessary support for us to screen the various sessions. One of the joys of New Wine is the gathering together to worship, pray and hear inspiring teaching. Please do try and come to some of the sessions. One of the other joys is the time we spend together socially, catching up with one another. On the Saturday we will be having a Fish and Chips lunch in the church gardens (we will let folk know the menu options and prices next week) and on the Sunday we would like to encourage everyone to bring a picnic and join together in the church gardens. Both of these times of fellowship will be open to everyone, whether you are attending the celebrations or not. To sign up for anything to do with the New Wine week please use this link to complete your booking: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/XWDS6DT
If you are unable to complete your booking on survey monkey please do contact me and I will do it for you.
Prayer meetings
Our two prayer meetings will continue to run throughout July (but not on 31st July when we will gather for New Wine). During August we will run only the Wednesday morning prayer meeting and will resume the Saturday meeting in September.
Bible Study Home Group
This continues to run and is open to everyone. We are meeting this Tuesday on zoom.
Sundays
As you will know, we are starting a new series this week from New Wine’s resource entitled “Restore” – do join us as we look to reimagine and restore our walk with the Lord both personally and as church.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Love
