Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37
Dear All
Mondays seem to becoming really special days at church. Joe has written the following:
Mondays at Plume Avenue
“What a day Monday was! In the morning, there were at least 14 adults at the Coffee and Cake, and at least 8 at the toddler group. In the afternoon, we had 17 young people at the Drop-in. I would say well over half of them had no prior experience of church, yet in their words, ‘racing’ to get there.
In the evening, we had the younger youth small group at Nick and Carole’s, where they were asking some great questions. And I shouldn’t forget that every other week, the men’s group meets at church too. Mondays are amazing days at Plume Avenue Church. God is good.
Everyone involved in Mondays at church needs your prayers. When God is doing amazing things, we need people to be praying for our spiritual protection, because Satan is not going to like what’s happening. This is no easy task that we’re doing. So please be praying for all of us as we go on this journey together.
Particular prayer points:
1) For the drop-in team, as a community of volunteers and leaders, that God would grow us together, and that we would create an environment where we build each other up, have grace where needed, and enable each other to thrive.
2) For the young people – that they would bond together, have grace with each other, and grow as a community, their lives being transformed in the process.
Thanks Joe”
Macmillan and St Helena Hospice ‘Ploughman’s Lunch’
Andrea would like to thank everyone who supported the event last Friday. So far, £524 plus Gift Aid has been raised.
Baby box and presents for Lily Nash
The baby box is in the foyer for gifts for Lily. Please though, no nappies are required. Gifts of toys, clothes for 6 months upwards and toiletries for sensitive skin would all be very much appreciated. If you would prefer to give a voucher or some money to enable Sabrina and Matt to purchase items as the need arises, please place these in the tithes and offerings box (marked up accordingly) and we will keep these safe until we present the gifts to them.
Coffee and Cake on Mondays
We could do with a few more people to help with this on a rota basis. If you feel you can help (either once a month or once a fortnight, please let me know.
