“In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:6

Dear All,

Preaching with a view weekend
Thank you to everyone who helped last weekend – so many people helped in differing ways and it was wonderful to see the Plume Avenue “team” in good working order!

New Wine talks
As promised we would like to offer the opportunity for those who would like to, to hear Bishop Ruth Bushyager’s talks she gave on the mornings of New Wine this year. The proposed dates are on Saturday mornings at 10.15 am on 26th October, 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd November and Sunday evenings at 6.45pm on 27th October, 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th November. If we find that there are very few people coming on a Sunday evening we will review this. Hope you can make these dates if you were hoping to hear her talks either for the first or second time.

Fairtrade Church
This is just a reminder that we are registered as a Fairtrade church. Any supplies of tea, coffee, sugar, hot chocolate, chocolate etc should therefore carry the Fairtrade logo.

Baptisms
These will be taking place in our morning service next week – 13th October.

Operation Christmas Child
We will be launching our Operation Christmas Child Shoebox appeal this Sunday. Please do speak to Pam Soames if you have any questions.
The final day for receiving shoeboxes will be 10th November.

Ladies Retreat Day
The sign up sheet for the Ladies Retreat Day at Assington Hall on December 7th is now up in the foyer. Please do sign up if you would like to come – places are limited. There is a suggested donation of £10 for the day which covers all food and the use of Assington Hall. Please either transfer this into the church bank account with the reference “Ladies day”, pay using the contactless card reader which David has or put money in an envelope in the offertory box marked up “Ladies Day”.

This week
There will be a prayer meetings on Wednesday and Saturday morning at 9.30 am. The Tuesday evening Bible Study Homegroup will also be meeting. Zoom details for these will be e-mailed early in the week.
With love and blessings.
