Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35

Dear All
This Sunday
We are back to normal this Sunday, meeting at 10 am for another summer café church service. There are some muffins and other goodies available to have with coffee.

New Wine
Thank you to everyone who helped with serving tea and coffee over New Wine. Thank you too to our tech team who served us so faithfully to enable the streams to be shown.
It was very special to share lunch together with some of our new friends from Tiptree URC last Saturday. I am sure this is the first of many opportunities to share food and fellowship together.
We are hoping to share the Glenn Packiam series from the morning sessions sometime during the autumn. We are debating which is the best day of the week to do this – if you have a preference please do let me know so that we can make a decision which will help as many folk as we can.

Men’s Breakfast
We are holding a Men’s breakfast on Monday August 14th, 9.30, at the Harvester Restaurant in Stanway. We have invited the men from Tiptree to join us for some fellowship to build future links.
Please let Peter or Adrian know if you are able to come along.

Summer Mondays
Our first session on Monday went well – it was so exciting to start this new venture with the children.
The sessions are for 5-11 year olds, the toddler group will be running alongside the Summer Monday sessions and there will be Coffee and Cake.
If anyone is able to come along and help with the toddler group this Monday (7th August) it would be very much appreciated.
On Monday 14th August we need one more person to help with the tea and coffee – if you are able to help please let me as soon as possible,
After the service this week, it would be good to have some help to set up the holiday club and toddler area.
This is such an exciting opportunity to welcome children and their families over the summer. Please do pray for this holiday club.

Satellites
A number of our youth are at Satellites this weekend until Wednesday. Please do pray for them, for the leaders, the cooks and all who are there to support them. We pray that they are all having a wonderful time and experiencing real encounters with the Lord in new and exciting ways.
Please do pray:
For good weather
That deep and lasting relationships would be built
That God would provide for all eventualities while there.

August and September 2023
We have a number of special services over August and September:
27th August       Summer highlights café church service* followed by a church picnic
3rd September   Communion service with Rev Mark Ambrose
10th September Dedication and Blessing service for Aurora Tidbury
28th September Harvest Café Church service followed by lunch together
*The service on 27th August will give an opportunity for folk to share stories, testimonies and highlights of the summer and what God has been saying and doing through New Wine, Summer Mondays holiday club, Satellites and life in general. Please let me know if you have a story, testimony or “highlight” to share so that we can build this into the service. Hearing these stories and testimonies gives God the glory and thankfulness for all He is doing in our lives and also helps to encourage and build each other up so please do take courage and prayerfully consider what you could share.

Fantasy Football league
Stewart Bird has organized a fantasy football league again – he writes:
“Fantasy Premier League 23/24 went live today, I have renewed the United by Football League so if you fancy your chances then go and start creating your squad. Feel free to share with anyone you know you think would be up for a fun challenge. League Code is owb65o.”

This week
There will be prayer meetings on Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 9.30 am. Zoom details for each will be e-mailed early in the week.

With love and blessings.
