Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.Pslam 27:14

Hi All
There’s lots to share this week so here goes.
Harvest
Thank you to everyone who brought gifts for Beacon House. Our thanks to Nick Lettington who transported them for us on Monday. We have received the following thank you from Beacon House:
On behalf of the staff and guests at Beacon House, I would like to thank you and all your congregation at Plume Avenue Church for your very generous gift of food & toiletries collected from your Harvest festival. With over 250 current service users at any one time, we are very grateful to all the people who donate to us, which helps us to support the most vulnerable people in our society.
Our guests have been able to attend some fantastic groups recently including an outing for mini golf, baking and cooking groups. We have provided support to move into accommodation such as kettles and new bedding.
Our guests continue to visit us as needed and our staff have been able to provide housing help at a higher level than ever before, thanks to our amazing housing team. We are starting to think about our winter plans and will update you.
Baby box
Just a reminder that we have a baby box available at church if you would like to place your gifts for baby Amelie. The box will be available this and next Sunday.
Youth weekend
Please do remember Joe, the team and the youth away this weekend at Assington Hall. Please pray for: the youth who are going; Joe, the leaders, helpers and cooks; the team from Assington Hall; that the weather would improve!, for safety and good health; for the making and renewing of friendships; for laughter and fun; that faiths will be strengthened and deepened over the weekend.
Wedding
On Wednesday, Sabrina and Matt are getting married. Please do pray for them as they prepare for their special day, for safety in travel for all those invited and a special blessing on them as they start their married life together.
We do need some help to move furniture, if you are reading this before 10 am Saturday (2nd October) and can offer to help please do come to the church between 10-11 am. Coffee and biscuits awaits those who would like refreshment after moving the furniture.
Synod Day
Please do pray for all the preparations for the Synod day which we are hosting here next Saturday 9th October. Thank you to everyone who has offered to help – if you would like join us please do let me know.
We are in need of some loans of slow cookers – if you have one you could lend us please speak to Andrea or Marie.

Have a blessed weekend
Love
