I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit John 15:5

Dear All,

Adventure Cruise Holiday Club
It is with a great deal of sadness that we need to share with you that due to the low numbers of children who have registered this year the holiday club team have decided to cancel the holiday club this year. This was not a decision which was taken lightly.

Summer Mondays
Following on from the above notice, we have decided to offer a wider café style session “Summer Mondays” on three of the Mondays, for all ages of the church and community. The church will be open from 9.30 am to 12 noon for refreshments, crafts, board games, a place to chat and a small toddler area. All those under the age of 16 must bring an adult with them for the morning!
We will be open on 28th July, 11th August and 18th August. Do join us if you can.

30th July to 4th August – New Wine
We are streaming the morning and evening sessions from New Wine (including the Monday morning now that there is no holiday club). Our service next Sunday will come from New Wine and will start at 10.30am. Coffee etc will be available before the service from 10am. The timetable is below:

This is an opportunity to hear some excellent teaching and share in worship – you are welcome to come to all of the sessions or as many as you can manage.

27th September – Church Awayday at Assington Hall
We are planning an awayday for everyone from Church at Assington Hall. This will be a day to gather together to worship, eat, have fun, be quiet, enjoy fellowship together and so much more. Sadly It wasn’t possible to use Eventbrite to sign folk up so we are using the good old traditional method of signing up at Church. Please try and sign up this weekend, we are putting in a funding application for the day and need to have a good idea of numbers. If you are not going to be in church this weekend, please e-mail your booking to admin@plumeavenuechurch.org.uk The cost of the day is £10 per person, this can be paid into the church bank account with a reference of “Assington”, using the SumUp machine which David has or putting cash in an envelope in the tithes and offertory box, marked “Assington” If you are able to give more than £10 please do to help those who may not be able to afford the day. We really do not want money to prevent folk from coming.

Update on 2024 Report and Accounts
David writes: “Those that came to the AGM (or read the minutes) will have learnt that we were still awaiting the signoff for the 2024 Report and Accounts from our Independent Examiner. I am pleased to report that he has completed his review and signed the relevant certificate with no changes required to the document approved (subject to examination) by the elders in February. Therefore the report and accounts available at the AGM form the final copy.”

Satellites Fund Raising
To help fundraise towards a new tent, some of the families of those going will be making cakes to order for donations. These are:
Cheesecake (The Martins)
Chocolate Cake (The Warner-Lings)
Chocolate Cake (Ade and Grace)
Brownies (The Barnard-Edwards)
If you would like to place an order please speak to them directly. Please either put your donation in an envelope marked up appropriately in the offertory box, see David Bird to use the SumUp machine or transfer money into the bank account. Thank you, Joe.

Bible Journaling
The next journaling session is this Saturday, 26th July, 10am-12pm. The group is growing, with new people coming along each time, so please feel free to give it a try!
No experience, artistic skills or equipment needed, coffee and cake provided, chat and friendly welcome guaranteed! Do speak to Jo for more details or any questions you may have.

Prayer before the morning services
We are aiming to gather together to pray at 9.45 am each Sunday with those who are leading and taking part in the service. Please do feel free to join everyone to pray in the music area.

This week
There will be a prayer meeting on Wednesday morning at 9.30 am. Zoom details will be e-mailed early in the week.
The normal weekday activities have now finished for the summer holidays including Toddler group and Drop in.

With love and blessings,
