If you love me, you will do the things I command. I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper. He will give you this Helper to be with you forever. The Helper is the Spirit of truth. John 14:15-17

Dear All
Hope you have had a good week.

Vacancy Update
We will be making a further announcement about the vacancy on Sunday morning.

Thy Kingdom Come Prayer Day
If you are reading this on Saturday, do remember we are holding a prayer day today using the resources produced by Thy Kingdom Come and 24/7 prayer. The prayer stations will be in the church and there is a creative area at the back of the church. There will be no café area this time. If you would like to bring a picnic lunch please do so and we will eat together at 12.30 pm. We are hoping the church itself will be a quiet space for prayer and the day will be a blessing to all.

Bible journaling
Jo has offered to be at church on the last Saturday of each month and provide resources and refreshments for those who would like to come and spend some time bible journaling. Do speak to Jo if you would like more details.

Tiptree walk and picnic
We would love you to join us on 27th May (Bank Holiday Monday) for a bring your own picnic at Tiptree United Reformed Church. Doors will be open from 12.30 pm. Under 16s should be accompanied by an adult.
For those who want to there will also be an opportunity to walk part of the way there. We will meet at Birch Church at 10 am to begin the walk. You’ll need to be prepared for lots of mud, and able to walk long distances. Please speak to Joe Robbins or Kate Chyc if you’re interested in joining us!

Pentecost
This Sunday morning we will be celebrating Pentecost. Kathy has been doing some research and has found that in some traditions they wear red on Pentecost – we leave that thought with you.
In the evening the C7 churches are organizing a Pentecost Celebration at Kingsland Church starting at 6.30 pm. Harold Afflu, lead pastor of the International Church in Ipswich, will be speaking.

Could you help?
Jo is preparing the next service rota – we could do with some more people to help serve tea and coffee on Sundays. If you could join this rota please do speak to Jo.
Also we are in need of more Junior Church teachers. If you would like to know more about this please speak to Rachael. You do need to be a church member to be a junior church teacher and hold a current DBS certificate.
