Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Dear All,
Colchester Winter Warmers
We have received details of the following:
NEST (North Essex Support Team) is very aware that because of family and individual poverty Colchester children are going to school in poor unsuitable clothing shoes and boots.
Adults and children do not own a winter coat or are unable to wear the right clothes to stay warm in unheated homes. Sadly, they cannot afford to buy this necessary clothing. Even charity shops are now aware of the value of their stock and are out of the reach of the poorest in our community.
We need your donations and support, clean aarm winter clothes
COATS, JUMPERS, FLEECES, TROUSERS, HATS, GLOVES, SCARVES, SHOES, BOOTS, DRESSING GOWNS, PYJAMAS, ONESIES, HOODIES (BOTH ADULT AND CHILD), DUVETS, SHEETS, DUVET COVERS, BLANKETS
Please, clean and in good condition, no shirts, T shirts, underwear, dresses.
If you have donations of any of the above these can be brought to church this week and will be taken the Foodbank where there is a collection point. Please bring your clean donations to Church on Sunday morning this week.
Bible Journaling
Our first bible journaling session of the year is on Saturday 31st January, 10am-12pm.
For those who would like some inspiration of verses to journal (you are of course free to do your own thing!), suggested verses for January are:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
And/or
Perhaps you were born for such a time as this. Esther 4:14
We’d love to see you at this fun and informal session, no experience, skills or equipment required!
Do speak to Jo for more information.

Chat & Chill Homegroup
January 12th 26th
February 9th 23rd

Leadership team awayday
We would like to thank everyone for their prayers last Saturday as the leadership team met. Andrew will be sharing some information with the church this weekend and proposals for how we continue to explore the way forward together as a church.
Colchester Foodbank
Thank you to everyone who has made donations to the Foodbank. Over 2025 we took 2,078 kgs to the Foodbank in total. Please do continue to bring your donations to church and we will take them to the Foodbank each week. This really is a true blessing to many folk who would be without basic food if it were not for the Foodbank.
This week
There will be a prayer meeting on Wednesday morning and Saturday morning at 9.30 am on Zoom. Zoom details will be e-mailed early in the week.
With love and blessings,
