Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4

Dear All,

Harvest
Our Harvest Thanksgiving service will be on Sunday 15th September. We normally have a light meal after the service – if you are able to help prepare this please could you let me know as soon as possible. Alternatively we can have a church picnic after the service.

Summer Mondays
Our final Summer Mondays session for this Summer is on Monday from 9.30 am to 12 noon. Do pop along and enjoy some refreshments. Crafts, board games, lego and a toddler area will be available for those who would like to use these.
We are a little light on helpers this week so if you can help please do speak to me.

Prayer
We give thanks that all those who went to Satellites returned home safely.
We remember our young people who have been receiving exam results this week and those who will receive results this coming week. Please pray for our young people and their families as they make plans for their futures.
We give thanks for the opportunities to gather together on Summer Mondays.
We remember those on holiday or going on holiday and pray for rest and refreshment and safety in travel for them.
We remember those who are unable to get away over the summer and pray that they will be able to find some rest and refreshment and also opportunity to get together with friends.
We remember those who are unwell and have tests and hospital appointments.

27th September – Church Awayday at Assington Hall
Just a reminder that if you haven’t yet signed up for the awayday at Assington Hall, it is not too late to do so. Also a reminder that the cost of the day is £10 per person, this can be paid into the church bank account with a reference of “Assington”, using the SumUp machine which David has or putting cash in an envelope in the tithes and offertory box, marked “Assington”. If you are able to give more than £10 please do to help those who may not be able to afford the day. We really do not want money to prevent folk from coming.
Pastoral Care
Over the summer weeks, a number of the leadership team are away over differing times. To enable them to have a proper break we are making provision for pastoral care over August.
If you have a pastoral matter you need help with or if you are concerned about anything, please contact myself or Jon Potterton. We are available throughout the month of August.
If you have something you would like the prayer chain to pray for please e-mail circleprayer@plumeavenuechurch.org.uk
We don’t want anyone to feel that they are without pastoral oversight over the summer weeks and equally want those who are taking a break to have that break.

Prayer before the morning services
We are aiming to gather together to pray at 9.45 am each Sunday with those who are leading and taking part in the service. Please do feel free to join everyone to pray in the music area.

This week
There will be a prayer meeting on Wednesday morning at 9.30 am. Zoom details will be e-mailed early in the week.
The normal weekday activities have now finished for the summer holidays including Toddler group and Drop in.

With love and blessings,
