Dear All,
Church Picnic
Following the service next Sunday, 20th July, we will be having a church picnic. Please do bring your picnic lunch with you to church and stay after the service for a time together.
30th July to 4th August – New Wine
We are streaming the morning and evening sessions from New Wine (other than the Monday morning when it is holiday club). This is an opportunity to hear some excellent teaching and share in worship – you are welcome to come to all of the sessions or as many as you can manage.
27th September – Church Awayday at Assington Hall
We are planning an awayday for everyone from Church at Assington Hall. This will be a day to gather together to worship, eat, have fun, be quiet, enjoy fellowship together and so much more.
Adventure Cruise Holiday Club
We are getting very excited about our holiday club!
Booking forms – booking forms are now available. Please do return your forms as soon as possible. The bookings have been opened up to the local schools so do get yours in to avoid disappointment.
Props – We are looking for various props including old style deck chairs, old style suitcases (the Paddington bear variety), buckets and spades, inflatable fish and seagulls, a fishing net and maybe even a boat! If you can help provide any of these please speak to Rachael or myself.
Summer Wednesdays
There are a number of folk in our church family who don’t get to go away during August and find themselves in need of some company as so many groups shut down for the summer. We would like to propose that on a couple of Wednesdays the church is open for tea and cake in the afternoon for those who would like to come and share some company. If you would like be able to help with one of these afternoon sessions please do speak to me as soon as possible so that we can work out if this is a viable venture. Thank you.
Satellites Fund Raising
To help fundraise towards a new tent, some of the families of those going will be making cakes to order for donations. These are:
Cheesecake (The Martins)
Chocolate Cake (The Warner-Lings)
Chocolate Cake (Ade and Grace)
Brownies – (The Barnard-Edwards)
If you would like to place an order please speak to them directly. Please either put your donation in an envelope marked up appropriately in the offertory box, see David Bird to use the SumUp machine or transfer money into the bank account. Thank you. Joe
