Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever Psalm 131

Dear All,

Harvest
Our Harvest Thanksgiving service will be on Sunday 21st September.
Harvest lunch: We would like to encourage everyone to bring a picnic lunch for after the service.
Harvest Gifts: Our Harvest Gifts this year will be for Colchester Foodbank. A list of their needs is on the reverse of this letter. If you would prefer to make a financial donation, please place your gift in an envelope marked up as “Harvest Foodbank” in the tithe and offerings box. Alternatively you can make a donation through the church bank account with a reference of “Harvest Foodbank” or using the SumUp machine which David will have.

Summer Mondays
Thank you to everyone who helped with the Summer Mondays – the sessions were very well supported and gives us food for thought for the future.

27th September – Church Awayday at Assington Hall
This weekend will be the final opportunity to sign up for the awayday as we have to send the numbers attending to the caterers. If you are still to pay for the day, a reminder that the cost of the day is £10 per person, please do this as soon as possible. This can be paid into the church bank account with a reference of “Assington”, using the SumUp machine which David has or putting cash in an envelope in the tithes and offertory box, marked “Assington”. If you are able to give more than £10 please do to help those who may not be able to afford the day.

Church tidying
There are still a few things left over from Satellites in the back halls. Please can these be removed no later than Sunday morning so that the room is ready for the nursery on Monday. Thank you.

Song and Hymns Survey – Feedback
In May this year the fellowship were asked to provide Andrew with their three favourite hymns or songs. To provide some feedback on that survey, we can report that, in the period since the completion of that survey (sixteen Sundays), 32 different hymns/songs have been used from the list (out of 127 different selections). At least one has been used every week.

Weekly activities
Our normal weekly activities recommence this week. Please to pray for the leaders and those attending the activities.

Prayer before the morning services
We are aiming to gather together to pray at 9.45 am each Sunday with those who are leading and taking part in the service. Please do feel free to join everyone to pray in the music area.

This week
There will be a prayer meeting on Wednesday morning and Saturday morning at 9.30 am.
The Bible study homegroup restarts on Tuesday evening at 7.30pm.
Zoom details will be e-mailed early in the week.
The Leadership team will be meeting on Monday evening.

With love and blessings,
