I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Dear All,

Holiday Club
There will be a meeting on 23rd April at 7.30pm at church to begin to look at what might be possible for this year’s holiday club. We will need to gather a team of people to deliver a holiday club in August – if you are able to be involved in any way please do let Rachael or myself know. The planning meeting is open to all!

Spring Clean of the large hall storage cupboard
Marie will be clearing and sorting the cupboard on Saturday 26th April. If you have items in there which need keeping please speak to Marie before 26th April – a skip has been ordered which will be filled and removed on that day. If you are able to help Marie please do contact her.

Church Bookings
Just a reminder that if you want to use the church premises for meetings or activities, these should be booked with Jo in the church diary by sending an e-mail to bookings@plumeavenuechurch.org.uk.

Holy Week and Easter 2025
Palm Sunday is on 13th April and we will focus in the early part of the service on the events when Jesus rode into Jerusalem.
On Maundy Thursday we will have a meal together including Communion and a reflection. The meal will be jacket potato, cold meats and salad followed by cake. For this to happen we need to know who would like to come and also who is able to help. We would very much like this to be a “family meal” where the church family come together to move and set the tables, prepare and serve the food and clear away afterwards. There is a sign-up sheet in the porch – please sign up as soon as possible so that we know how many we are catering for and if we have enough folk to help with the meal. Please speak to Andrea or myself for more details.
On Good Friday we will be joining with Prettygate Baptist Church for our usual united service. There will be a walk of witness starting at Plume Avenue at 10am and finishing at the Baptist Church for the service which starts at 11am.
On Easter Sunday, Andrew will be leading us through an All Age Communion service with worship. The children and young people will also have the opportunity to enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt. Before the service there will be bacon rolls and pastries.
In the afternoon, we have the Community Easter Egg Hunt trail from Plume Avenue to Prettygate Baptist Church starting at 2.30pm. There will be refreshments and crafts at the Baptist church and they would like folk from Plume Avenue to join in welcoming the trail teams.

Prettygate Baptist Church “Shipwrecked” Holiday Club
Prettygate Baptist Church are running an Easter Holiday Club “Shipwrecked”. This takes place from Wednesday 11 April to Friday 13 April, 9.30 am – 12noon. There will be activities, crafts, games, Bible stories and a lot of fun! For primary school years 1-6 (age 5-11), £10 per child for all 3 days and everyone is welcome. You can either register on-line on their website or we have some forms can use to register.

Prayer before the morning services
We are aiming to gather together to pray at 9.45 am each Sunday with those who are leading and taking part in the service, Please do feel free to join everyone to pray in the music area.
