Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Dear All,

Sunday
Following the service on Sunday morning, we will be taking down the Christmas trees and the decorations on the windows. The manger and display over the baptistry will remain as a reminder to us not to rush away from the manger. If you are able to stay for a short while to help with the trees etc we would be very grateful. The chairs will not need to be moved this week as Toddler Group and Drop In don’t restart for another week.

New Year
As we start the New Year, some people have said how helpful they found it was to have a chart to read through the bible in a year. It may be a few days into the New Year, but over the page you will find a chart should you want to embark on reading the bible in a year.
A number of our church family are starting the year in difficult circumstances with various health and employment concerns – please do remember to keep the church family in your prayers and come alongside those who need that extra love and care at this time.

Men’s Group
Peter writes: “We will have a breakfast on Saturday 17th, 9.00 am at the Harvester. Feel free to invite others just please let me know you are coming so that I can book it up.
Dates for Chat & Chill and Homegroup are as follows
     Chat & Chill       Homegroup
     January  12th     26th
     February 9th     23rd
     March 9th         23rd
     April 6th B.H.  20th
We will sort something out for the April meeting.”

Leadership team awayday
The leadership team will be meeting on Saturday at church for an awayday – this will be to discern God’s leading for the vision for the church for the coming year. We will be using the results from the Autumn Church Awayday survey and the various conversations folk have had with us. Please do pray for the day.

This week
Most of our regular activities will continue to take a break this week although ‘Coffee and Chat’ will meet as usual on Monday. There will be a prayer meeting on Wednesday morning at 9.30 am but not on Saturday. Zoom details will be e-mailed early in the week.
With love and blessings,
